WHAT IS THE FUTURE FOR SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH CENTRES
Following the success of the first event in London, ARCISS is held another ‘What is the Future for Social Science Research Centres" session in Leeds on 11th November 2010.
This seminar was aimed at Directors and Senior Managers of Research Centres. Its core objective was to create an opportunity for discussion and reflection on how Research Centres can respond to the ‘new’ times we find ourselves in. It was also an opportunity for ARCISS to find its role in helping to support Centres in these challenging times.
The session was run by members of the ARCISS executive committee, Ian Sanderson, Director of Director of Research, Faculty of Business and Law, Leeds Metropolitan University and Nigel Meager, Director, Institute of Employment Studies. They drew upon their own experiences to the challenges and outlined some of the risks that we all face. The session examined strategies that could be developed to maintain and improve our role in social science research.
Date: 11th November 2010, 1-4pm
Venue: Leeds Metropolitan University, Faculty of Business and Law, Room 522, Rose Bowl, Portland Crescent, Leeds LS1 3HB.
